Glen Weiner

Glen Weiner joins us as the Director of Communications for the Roosevelt Institute

glenbio.jpgGlen joins us from TIAA-CREF, the Fortune 100 organization and leading provider of non-profit retirement plans, where he held a variety of senior marketing and corporate communications roles. Most recently he headed the marketing area responsible for business-to-business sales. He was also an on-the-record corporate spokesman and the head of their asset management marketing group. 

Before joining TIAA-CREF, Glen was the second most senior member of Benenson Strategy Group, a New York City–based market research and political polling firm that is the pollster for President Barack Obama and whose clients at the time included former New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey as well as Fortune 500 companies like Chase Bank, Qwest, Procter & Gamble and Campbell Soup.
 
Prior to that, Glen had ten years of strategic communications experience from various political and government positions, including the head of polling and strategic planning at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, research director of Hillary Clinton’s 2000 Senate campaign and a special communications consulting role with James Carville, Bob Shrum and Stan Greenberg for Ehud Barak’s successful campaign for Israeli Prime Minister. He also worked in the White House during the Clinton Administration, on President Bill Clinton’s 1996 presidential re-election campaign, and gubernatorial campaigns in Georgia and New Jersey.

Glen graduated with honors from Binghamton University. He has taught classes at Yale University and Northwestern University.
