2010 FDR Distinguished Public Service Award

On July 27th, Congressman John Dingell and Senator Thomas Daschle received the Roosevelt Institute's 2010 FDR Distinguished Public Service Award in Washington, D.C. Their awards were presented, respectively, by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Mrs. Edward M. Kennedy at an evening event at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium.

Both Senator Daschle and Congressman Dingell have dedicated their careers and energy to public service, and to the pursuit of the progressive ideals too often forgotten in this millennial age. From championing a more equitable healthcare system to fighting for the working families that fuel America’s economy, both men clearly and compellingly evoke the spirit of the Roosevelt legacy.
