Trained dancer Hazel made her Bollywood debut with the movie Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar. She was recently seen in Ajay Devgan’s directorial debut U, Me Aur Hum. How was it working with big stars? “Wonderful. I had a great time shooting with them. I was very comfortable. Ajay Devgan was very friendly,” she says. Hazel has not taken any professional training in acting although she has attended quite a few drama workshops when in school. She was always keen on becoming an actress.
She has been born and brought up in England, so why did she choose to be a Bollywood actress? “My grandfather is an Indian and I was always attracted to the culture. It’s been four years that I have shifted here.” Hazel wishes to do a dance movie with Shahid Kapur as she is crazy about salsa. She is also learning the kathakali. In her free time she dances, does yoga and travels. All her fans will be seeing her in Hemant Madhukar’s Flat. Sanjay Suri will be playing the hero. “I play a Kashmiri village girl in movie. It’s about a small village girl coming to a big city. It is a thriller. I cannot reveal more about the movie,” she explains.
